An Inter-Generational Dialogue on Protecting the Earth (28 NOV)

Mon, 28 NOV

17:30 – 19:30

Shepstone 1,

Howard College, UKZN

Young people have both a concern and responsibility to protect the earth. Youth will have to live for an extended period with the deteriorating environment bequeathed to them by earlier generations. Young people will be compelled to engage in new forms of action that will generate effective responses to ecologi-cal challenges. The older generations have acquired wisdom through experience. To face the challenges of the environment, needs the spiritual wisdom of the“elders”, the vision of the youth and the commitment of both to create a sustainable path.

Panel:

Sr Jayanti – Regional Director of BKWSU – Europe

Philia Pantshwa – Director, Khanya Africa, SA

Teresa Mungazi – Young Voices Network, Zimbabwe
